K.C. Shaw

I write fantasy, furry, and sometimes science fiction as K.C. Shaw. I write nonfiction and YA as Kate Shaw, and host/produce the weekly Strange Animals Podcast as well. My short fiction has appeared in numerous anthologies and magazines over the years, and I recently collected my favorite furry and furry-adjacent stories in Catfish and Other Stories, available here.

You can also find my dragon novella here, Royal Red. It's 18+ but not especially spicy. My romantasy novels The Taste of Magic and its sequel, Blood and Ashes, have spicy-looking covers but are actually quite tame--and old, first published around 2011 and 2012. I lightly edited and self-published them because I kind of like them.

Once I arrange an artist to make the covers, I want to re-release the out-of-print novellas Goldie and The Dragon Whisperer, and the novels Evil Outfitters Ltd. and Skytown. A collection of Skytown short stories, Skyway, is available from Mannison Press.
